HOME SWEET HOME (:

okay this is gonna be a long one. with no pictures yet cos i still cant find my camera cable :(
vietnam was GREAT.

day1: aka the day which never seemed to end!
woke at like 4.45am. totally forgot i was flying off, so when my maid insisted that i wake up, i thought she was mad + weili sent us off cos he was working that morning.
tried to watch stepup2, but the flight was too short :(
beginning wasnt too good, actually. sis &i were quite skeptical cos we reached vietnam only to be greeted by the words 'weelchair passengers' &damn alot of frowns. everybody kept staring (for goodness knows what reason) &nobody there seemed to be happy. besides the taxi driver that is.

and. everyone there seems to ride a motorcycle/vespa. the taxi driver said that there's about 7million motorcycles in vietnam. and dad said if i learn how to ride a motorcycle, he'll buy me a vespa. YAY! maybe i should.
crossing the roads there are crazy. their zebra crossings are not pedestrian friendly. the vehicles dont stop &neither should you. just walk, and they'll swerve out of your path =S

stayed at the new world hotel! near cho ben thanh market (:
was supposed to do sightseeing first, but we were too excited &ended up shopping like crazy. had lunch at a really great vietnamese place before meeting one of dad's friends who was really sweet &brought us to this place near caravelle hotel which had ROWS AND ROWS of shops :D

had room service at night cos all of us were quite shagged out. slept damn early for the first time in super long (around 10plus-11), but i ended up waking up at 1.30am. bah.

day2: aka the day i fell even more sick than before :(
woke at like. 7plus to get breakfast (: they have SUPER SMALL yakult bottles. smaller than the ones we have here! and to think i usually complain its too small :S

anyway. dad's friend loaned us her driver (YAY), so we headed down to this place called cu chi which was about an hour &a half away to visit the tunnels they had during the vietnamese war. felt like mice scampering around in the dark cos the whole group kept moving so fast. they even showed us the different kinds of traps used against their enemies. omggggosh. i'm so glad i wasnt there at that time.

trooped back to the city area &dad decided to buy 5paintings back for the house before heading back to the same shopping area near caravelle to get some clothes tailored! they're super efficient over there.
you can:
1) buy clothes and if alterations need to be done (in cases where it's too long or too big or anything), they can do it within 24hours with NO EXTRA CHARGE.
2) totally tailor something new for you at a FIXED PRICE i.e. all tailored dresses &tops are off the same price. if you decide to add in any buttons or zippers or do anything else to the top/dress, they can do it within about a day or two with NO EXTRA CHARGE. (sequined or embroided dresses/tops are different. they take slightly longer depending on the amount of sequins or embroidery done.)
3) GET YOUR CLOTHES DELIVERED TO YOUR HOTEL WITH NO DELIVERY CHARGES INCURRED.

ILOVEVIETNAM!

hahaha. anyway there was a storm outside going on after we finished at the shop, so we hung around for a short while &made friends with the people inside. met dad's friends (this time plus his friend's sister) for dinner &they brought us to have super good seafood. shucks. i'm surprised vietnamese arent fat, considering the amount of good food they have.

went back to ben thanh market again after that. this time we walked around OUTSIDE. inside is too stressful for words. everyone sells almost the same thing in the same row, so every 3steps you take, they'll keep pulling you inside to shop. outside was like a mini PSML (: bought loads &loads of things. i love that area. it's like bangkok/bali/bugis street/etc. had to leave early cos dad was tired, but it was great all the same.

went back to the hotel to be greeted by stuff. the hotel's really cute. every night you stay, they enter before you return and leave little gifts. the first night, we got two mini vietnamese porcelain figurines. this time we returned to see two different mini vietnamese porcelain figurines PLUS a plate of fruits. HAHA.

day3: museum visit! we bumped into FOUR couples taking wedding pictures, as well as alot of bad english. it was cool cos you got to see alot of old things coupled with abit of history here &there, but it didnt really feel like a museum. it felt like a bunch of old things randomly put together.

anyway. roamed around outside after that &saw this place doing damn cheap manicures &pedicures. paid like. $4 for a french (: sis did a pedi, mom did both &dad got bored, so he decided to do a seat massage. muahaha. shopped around until lunch time before we popped into a small cafe. SOMETHING HAPPENED TO MY SIS THERE BUT I CANT SAY OR SHE'LL KILL ME. HAHAHA.

headed back to the hotel after that &got myself a wallet from ip nima. some shop they had inside the hotel (: they've got one in singapore too, even though i've never seen the shop. haha. (YES the wallet's still long. damn.) went back to shop outside the ben thanh market before heading to have dinner at this place called the temple club (: THEN IT WAS SHOPPING AGAIN! dad almost died on the spot. hahahaha.

day4: aka last day :( aka HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
stuffed everything into my bag before heading down for breakfast. and the tailoring items came in! (: my sis was the happiest one alive cos she tailored a dress &a top. haha. went to buy some gifts for dad's friends after that before dragging our asses back to the hotel to checkout. sis &mom bought a bag each from ip nima (YAY more bags for them = more bags for me cos i can kope. HAHA.) before we cabbed to the airport.

had some time, so we popped in and got ourselves a FOOT MASSAGE. muahahaha.
it was really great, thought we almost missed our flight cos of that. was one of the last few to enter. hahahah.

so now i'm home.
